Azores Parametric Cheese Ring
The cheese production dates back to the mid-15th century, coinciding with the discovery of the island and influenced by the Flemish community. Due to the tenacity of the people of São Jorge, cheese manufacturing has persisted using traditional methods and ingredients, thus preserving and prioritizing its quality. The project aims to highlight and commend the history and economy of São Jorge, simultaneously serving as a showcase for the island. The proposed solution takes into account the analysis of two previously developed proposals, allowing for a thoughtful consideration of the type of intervention needed. This includes an in-depth study of the materialization of the concept. Aligning the above-mentioned aspirations with the use of parameters in the process of creation within computational and algorithmic technology, a new form resembling a sculpture is presented. Its implementation aims to engage with existing levels, enabling a unique view from every angle of the roundabout, strategically not centralized to ensure better visibility for drivers. Architecture is a multifaceted art form that goes beyond mere construction, incorporating aesthetics, cultural expression, functional innovation, and emotional impact to shape our experience of the built environment. #ArchitectureArt #CreativeDesign #CulturalExpression #FunctionalInnovation #EmotionalImpact #ArchitecturalAesthetics #BuiltEnvironment #DesignInnovation #ArtInConstruction #ArchitecturalExpression #ArchitecturalIdentity #SpaceTransformation #InnovativeMaterials #AestheticHarmony #ArchitecturalHeritage #SpatialExperience #art #PublicSpace #Azores #AlexandrePicanco
